Engineer Guy Genin, Ph.D.

Guy Genin is an associate professor of mechanical engineering and materials science at Washington University in St. Louis, and an associate professor of neurological surgery at the Washington University School of Medicine. His training includes a doctorate in solid mechanics from Harvard University, and post-doctoral studies at Cambridge University and Brown University before joining Washington University. He has received many awards and honors for his research on interfaces and adhesion in physiology and nature, including an NIH Research Career Award. He has collaborated extensively with Dr. Leuthardt on both research and innovation, including the invention of several neurosurgical devices and procedures.
